I am delighted to return to Andy’s Orchard for his popular Summer Fruit Tasting & Tours of his orchards. Andy invites his urban neighbors and stone fruit lovers from all over the Bay Area to taste the myriad varieties of stone fruit he grows, tour the orchards, and pick the ripe fruit. This is a unique opportunity to visit and experience a working fruit orchard right in the midst of Silicon Valley. This is one of four events he offers this summer, and a rare opportunity to taste many different fruit varieties that are often not available in grocery stores or farmer’s markets. JULY 8th: Appropriately for our apricot event, Stanford-educated Lisa Newman will be at our orchard to sign her beautifully illustrated book called For the Love of Apricots wherein she writes about this locally celebrated fruit, its history, other interesting facts, and provides many choice recipes utilizing her favorite fruit.
