Los Altos History Museum STEM Fair and Apricot Tasting Competition

June 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join me at the Los Altos History Museum and celebrate the taste of apricots! I will be signing my new cookbook, “For the Love of Apricots: Recipes and Memories of the Santa Clara County”, and serve as a Celebrity Judge in the Apricot Tasting Competition. I hope you’ll stop by and see me during the fair.

The Los Altos History Museum will be highlighting the apricots that gave birth to their community at its 2018 Apricot STEM Fair with a Tasting Competition in the courtyard. Located in one of the few remaining apricot orchards of Silicon Valley, the museum attracts families seeking to learn more about the agricultural roots of the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” and how it blossomed into today’s Silicon Valley. The food-tasting contest will awaken memories of family and favorite apricot recipes and provide opportunities to indulge in current local delights!

In addition to the specialty tasting, the Apricot STEM Fair will also feature orchard-themed games, as well as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) hands-on activities presented by many of the valley’s outstanding and most innovative STEM programs. It will be a fun day with a little bit of everything for the young at heart of all ages!
