I will be the guest speaker at the San Benito Historical Society “All About the Blenheims” Spring 2019 meeting. The San Benito Historical Society seeks to preserve the county’s rich cultural heritage in which apricot orchard husbandry played an important role.

“For the Love of Apricots” is a cookbook that shares over 60 heritage recipes and modern tastes that showcases the versatility of California’s beloved and world-renowned fruit. Essays woven throughout the book provide historical perspective on the Valley of Heart’s Delight, as well as memories of growing up on an orchard property as the fruitful landscape was being plowed under to form the Silicon Valley; perhaps one of history’s most dramatic transformations to occur within one generation.
