Book Talk at the San Jose Garden Club, November 12

November 12 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

I’m absolutely thrilled to have the incredible opportunity to speak at the San Jose Garden Club on November 12th! Since way back in 1972, they’ve been all about spreading knowledge and fostering a love for horticulture, gardening, landscape design, and floral design.

At my talk, titled “Apricots and the Valley of Heart’s Delight“, I’ll be diving into my passion for apricots, sprinkled with local history and memories from the Valley of Heart’s Delight. And let me tell you, encouraging fellow gardeners to plant apricot trees, whether it’s the classic Blenheim or any other heritage variety, is something I’m incredibly passionate about, and it’s just perfect for the Garden Club!

Gardening isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s a way of life. I adore cultivating flowers, veggies, and of course, nurturing and harvesting my beloved apricot trees! I can hardly contain my excitement to swap gardening tips and tricks at the Garden Club meeting. And I’ll be sharing all sorts of juicy details about the Santa Clara Valley’s history, my fond memories of growing up on an orchard, and even some mouthwatering apricot recipes and resources from the brand spanking new 5th Anniversary Edition of my cookbook/memoir, For the Love of Apricots!
